Draining Down the CH System - Vaillant ecoTEC Plus 938 Combi Boiler

Hi,

I am looking to drain down the house CH system. We have a Vaillant ecoTEC Plus 938 combi boiler. I would be grateful if anybody could tell me if it is sufficient to just turn off the boiler before draining the CH system.

Generally speaking yes, but you are aware you’ll have no hot water as well?
