Edwardian terrace, single glazed original sashes (recently draughtproofed) to the front. No roof insulation but loft floor insulated to 270mm, minimal draughts elsewhere. Central heating works well and all the rads heat up ok, but they are all sited on the walls adjacent to the window walls. When it's cold it feels like there is a constant battle going on between cold and hot draughts throughout the house. Would moving the rads underneath the windows solve this problem and give a more even temp around the house? Answers appreciated.

Yes :D

The cold air comes down from the window, along the floor and rises when it gets to the radiator, hot air then goes up and over the ceiling back to the window and starts again. All the hot air missing you sat on the sofa in the room that never seems to warm up

Try and get the reverse effect and that may help the cold coming from the window.

All sorts of temporary measures such as heat shrink cling film, but that looks awful!
