Drayton heating controls and Vaillant boilers disconnecting from each other

Hi all,

We have a customer who has a Vaillant Ecotec boiler and drayton heating controls. We seem to be getting alot of issues across multiple properties where the boiler and heating controls loose connection. Naturally we have gone through the standard checke ie batteries etc, but we dont ever seem to be able to find a problem. I was just wondering if when the boiler goes into anti cycling mode, it could be causing some kind of disconnection?

I doubt it. Are good quality alkaline batteries being used or cheap zinc batteries?
