Drayton TRV4s - head probs

Hi - I have a couple of these that are becoming almost impossible to turn - its not that the valve is sticking as these are operating fine and the heads are just as difficult to turn when removed.

Drayton just suggested squirting wd40 into them to loosen them but thats done nothing.

Any useful suggestions?

The TRV4 has probably now been out for 15-20 years!

If only everything lasted that long!

II have yet to find a failed TRV4 head !

I have found loads of the older style heads failed (old buildings in central london probably about 20 years old), but to be fair not too many i can remember of the newer model.
Poolphilip, have you taken the head of and washed it thouroughly under a tap?
