Hello,
We have our Vaillant boiler located in the eves to the house and therefore have a wireless thermostat located in our hallway. It's a Drayton Digistat +2 RF wireless unit but it only works intermitently.
I suspected at first it was the batteries in the unit being drained faster than normal over winter and so replaced them. Unfortunately the very next day the flame indicator was on the digital display saying a signal was being sent but the central heating was stone cold.
I have since discovered that if I remove the batteries and replace them with the same ones the unit immediately works and sends a signal that ignites the boiler!?!?
Any ideas what this could be, is it a wiring fault or a fault with the unit?
Many thanks!
