I have a glass-fibrebath with no holes cut for the taps. What tool do I need to cut these holes?

A hole saw

mounted in a drill usually does the job nicely.

Bath tap tails are usually (but not always) about 27mm diameter, and the base of most taps will cover about a 30mm hole.

A try-out on a bit of scrap timber or plywood will help you gauge if your hole saw is likely to cut an oversized hole - some cheap ones do.

I guess the days of heating up copper pipes for making holes are over then ?!

no that pro methord just like bending with spring or using bucket of sand
this is diy site

Before you drill holes, have a look on the underside to make sure that where you are about to drill is flat enough to take the back-nut. Sometimes fiberglass baths are quite curved underneath. Measure several times before drilling.
