Hi I want to drill through some brickwork and create a hole of around 4cm diametre. Can anyone advise me on the type of drill to hire and drill bit I assume my domestic B&D is not man enough for this?

thx

If it's only 4cm and through brick you should be able to chisel through quite easily.

Stitch drill as suggested for a one off with an SDS drill. If you take your time you can get a reasonable clean hole. No point wasting money on hiring a core drill for that sort of size hole.
