Drilling to the side of the house

Hello all,
hopefully someone could help me with a query i have....

I plan to fit some brackets etc to the exernal wall of my house. I was originaly going to drill and wallplug and then screw the bracket on.

My question is do i have to seal this up at all to stop any damp getting in.?

Looking at what is fitted to the house already i should say not (drain pipes, sky dish), but they were here before me and that doesnt mean they were fitted correctly.

My house is 5 years old if that makes any difference.

Just drill and fit as you described, no problem at all.
