Drip drip drip, from basin

Hiya, first post so please be gentle with me

There's a drip drip drip every time we use the bathroom basin.

After looking with a torch I noticed it is coming from where the waste goes through the basin. It is very awkward to get to and very tight spaced behind the pedestal. Is there anyway to cure this?

Is a good post, but the basin has been fine for years. Is there any way I can get it fixed by using a sealer or something?

Only if you take it apart,seal it then put it all back together again

as aboe or you could try putting some silicone sealant around the leak area - will be very fiddly though and will not be as good a seal as mentioned above.
