Driver loop.

Hello All.
My PC has taken a turn for the worse after running hassle free for donkeys.
My ATI graphics card has a driver that is in an infinate loop ! I have mauve and green 'bars' all over the screen and can see previous screenshots in the background. Turning her on/off can result in hrs of resetting etc etc (6 this morning ).
I cannot get any help through ATI updates, roll back/reinstall driver etc.

I can see the distortion from when the PC starts, as windows is loading.

Is this driver hardware that I need to buy, or software ? ( Sorry if the answer means I am in the wrong forum area).

Have you checked the VGA cable is in all the way ?? Some times, if you have moved the PC it can work a little loose and can cause this to happen ......
