Dry ridge system

Hello can you help please I'm installing a dry ridge system problem is ridge board is 40mm higher than the top of the rafters

Is that a problem?
Most of the systems that I have seen, lift the ridge up even further, with a couple of roofing battens - something like this...

What system are you planning to use?

Hi I'm using the easyridge f dry fit kit as in the photo top of ridge board is tight to the underside of the ridge tile no room for a batten thanks

Are your current ridge tiles mortared in place and were you planning to reuse them?

Why can't you just cut a bit off the top of the ridge board?

No putting new half round clay ridge tiles on would it be OK to screw into the top of the ridge board to hold the union clips

Absolutely acceptable, if your ridge board isn't rotten of course

hi there would I do any damage if I were to cut 25mm off the top of the ridge board many thanks
