Hi,

We have an internal washroom that has a washer and dryer in it (dryer on top of washing machine), we used to have a condensing dryer but it took ages so I bought a vented model. My rationale behind this was we have an extractor fan in this room which I removed and isolated and then connected the dryer extractor tube to the tube that runs outside. The pipe from the dryer now runs up to the top of the dryer then along the wall to the existing vent then outside. Up until now this has been fine but now this dryer is taking ages. We have new filters on order so I am hoping it’s that but is my install ok? Can the pipe run upwards?

Ok so long as the vent hose is not long enough for condensation to form and run back into dryer.
