Hi

Can anyone let me know how to take the lid off a dual flush cistern? I have tried to lift the lid but it doesn't move at all!

The reason I want to remove it is because I think the valve is failing.

Thanks for any help...

Hi

You need to get the push buttons out to reveal a large screw that holds the lid on.
Push one button down and the word service may be seen lever that button out and so on.

Got the lid off - but can't see how to lower the water level, which comes up to the very top of the overflow pipe.

(It's not at all like the inner works of a cistern that Ive known before!!)

Can you help again?
Thanks

At this point a picture or a good description is required.
Flush the toilet. Then while it is filling lift the float arm. Does this turn the water off? If so, adjustment is all that may be required if not you'll need to go deeper.
