Removing lid of Ideal Standard "Alto" dual flush w

A simple query - I hope
Can anyone help with advice on how to remove lid on this cistern? The flushing buttons are housed in a flange fitting which seems to be holding the lid tight to the cistern.

yes I've got that suite aswell....push one button down to pull out the other then remove the other one, undo the screw underneath the buttons and off she comes...why do you need to get in?

I was dreading that question.....
The missus wanted to me put one of those flavoured bleach blocks in there!
