I have an Ideal Standard Playa toilet and cistern. Recently installed.

The flush mechanism has one large plate to activate a flush but with a plastic lever to the side which also gets pushed by the full flush button.

The cistern is branded as 6/4 litre. Exactly what does that mean ?
I thought it was to do with the dual flush e.g. 6 litres full flush and 4 litres part flush.
It is marked inside with water levels for both 6 and 4 litres so I am more inclined to believe it is designed to be filled up to the 6 or upto the 4 litres marks, depending on one's preference.

The flush mechanism came with the cistern and has a mark on it for max level and this pretty well corresponds with the 6 litre level marked on the cistern.

If I want a part flush, am I supposed to press and hold the small button or just give it a quick push.

Thanks

6 litre full flush, 4 litre part flush. Press and release - big button is big flush and little button is little flush
