I'm installing a cooker hood in my kitchen and want to duct out through the loftspace and roof. There is an existing, unused pipe going through the roof which I am pretty sure used to be connected to a ceiling mounted extractor fan (it is above a patched up hole in the ceiling). I am wondering if I can simply attach my new ducting to this, rather than making another hole.

The existing pipe is round plastic (makers name Rymway) and 110mm. It goes through the roof and bends round 190degrees to keep the water out.

Does this sound suitable to use for a cooker hood? And is it possible to attach new 125mm ducting to an old 110mm pipe?

Thanks,
Benson

if your sure it still vents outside i cant see a problem in using it,there are reducing fittings available to go from 125 to 100,are you sure its 110mm?

Yes, 110. Says so on the pipe. I can find a 120 to 110 connector, and a 125-120 connector so may have to do that.
