Hi.
I've got new bonding and skimming in bedroom i am doing up for the Mrs to move in + our child which is on the way.

It's about 14ft x 14ft. I would like to paint it. I was looking for correct primer (for new plastered walls) and a white silk paint.

Is there a good alternative to Dulux easycare paint as I am looking for a paint which is durable, tough and washable?

Thank you

You could paint the walls with waterbased eggshell if you want a pretty durable finish (using acrylic primer first). Eggshell has a sheen level of 10% to 20%. Silk is about 25% to 35%

The easycare paint is the Dulux DIY "durable" matt paint. In the trade range it is called diamond matt. Most brands have similar paints.

Any vinyl silk paint will be more durable than a matt paint. Eggshell will be pretty much as durable as silk but less shiny. The lower sheen level of eggshell will make any imperfections slightly less obvious.
