Ok, so this may be the weirdest question for a while, but I have put some self levelling compound down in my kitchen and think the end result looks quite nice!!

Is it crazy to stop at this point and forget the tiling that I had planned? Is it totally unsuitable as a final floor surface?

Will it wear out easily? Or what other downsides?

Thanks

Jim

I saw some go down a month ago but not tiled yet, and it has a couple of cracks in it now.

Every bag I have ever used has said its not suitable as a final finish. The stuff I put down in the loo was exposed and in use for a few months and cracked a little.
