I know this subject has been talked about mant times but this is my situation.
I want to lay some floor tiles down in my kitchen.
The Kitchen was extended last year. The floor in the extension half of the room was covered in a self leveling compound but it isn't very level to me.I don't think the builder put enough down to fill the dips.
Anyway i have taken some tiles up in the original kitchen side which means the floor is no longer level form the new and old parts of the kitchen.
The questions i would like to ask are
Can i add more leveling compound on top of the existing compound (will it stick).
I'm not sure what compound they used how can you tell the difference.
Can you stick any type of compound onto any type of compound.
What do i have to do to the original compound surface eg coat it with PVA glue.
Do i have to coat the bare surface that has been left behind when i took the tiles up (its coated with bituman)
