Well, after moving the old fridge out via the front door I've gone and smashed the 13amp twin socket off the wall in the hallway. Both the socket and the backing box are cracked.
I purchased new socket and 25mm backing box and notice that although both are plastic, the backing box also has an earth terminal (not on the original box). am I now supposed to take an earth lead from the earth connection on the socket to the backing box earth terminal or what?
