Whats requirement for earth electrodes being buried? Been to hoses lately and there either buried in concrete floor with top bit stuck out and earth cable attached to it, or buried in street outside front door and cable attached to top which is poking out of concrete.
I thought they had to be buried in a pit? Is there a required depth in this pit?

they shouldn't be buried under concrete....

You must be able to verify the connection to the stake, so if they're going in a slab you need to use a pit to retain access.

If you can verify the connection to the stake, it's OK AIUI.
