Hello! Wonder if any of you would be able to offer me some advice?

Been having the bathroom rearranged and we noticed none of the piping was earthed. A mate suggested just wiring the new pipes to the mains water pipe in order to make sure they are all earthed and someone else suggested putting an earthing rod in

Does anyone have any ideas?

Firstly, the term is (supplementary) bonded - not earthed.

Parts are bonded because they are earthed somewhere to ensure they are all at the same potential(voltage) should a fault occur.

You cannot tell by looking at a part (e.g. pipe) whether it is actually earthed, and therefore may require bonding.
Measurements need to be taken.
They may be bonded nearby or not require it.

If all the circuits of the bathroom are protected by an RCD, and a other requirements are met (they are unlikely not to be) then bonding is not required anyway.
