If you mean the earth terminal in a consumer unit (as opposed to a cooker control/connection unit) why not?

yes, thats what i mean. Its just that in most publications ie on site guide, it shows that all the equipotential bonding going to the MET. It makes sense to me to use the earth bar in the ccu which would make for a neater installation if nothing else.
