Im currently working on the Eastenders set in Elstree and nearly burnt down the Beales Plaice - chip shop (not my fault)

We were trying to find which light did what and switched a dimmer on, it wasn't the light we were looking for but left it on without realising. Went to get some bits and came back maybe 5 minutes later and smelt burning and saw smoke coming from the dimmer

Switch circuit off and found the dimmer was switching 3 x floodlights, 500w each. The dimmer was rated at 400w !

Somebody cocked up and nearly cost the BBC dearly, if it was you own up
