Hi All,

Ill be putting the roof on a small extension in the upcoming weeks. Concrete 'double roman' tiles.

A few queries:
Should the tile rest on the felt support tray, which in turn is sat on top of the over fascia ventilator? So the tilt fillet is only supporting the felt and felt tray, NOT the tile.

Any downside to an over fascia ventilator?

Is a 'finger strip' worth the minimal cost? never had an issue with birds.... yet

Thanks,
Will

The tilt/fascia is supporting the vent, which is supporting the tray, which is in turn supporting the tile.
The order you mention is correct for when you get round to doing it.
Make sure you pay attention to fascia height including the vent as if it is too high you compromise the natural plane of the roof and your eaves could be defunct.
Good luck
