I had a brand new heating system installed in December 2014 an Ecodan to wet system all new components. The system has been less than satisfactory. It has been regularly serviced. In September 2017 it needed a new flow valve as it was so stained the flow reading could not be taken a new pump was tried then after checking the water a build up of sludge was found so a full power flush completed. Now the U1 error is back a little over a year on with exactly the same problems the flow valve is discoloured and needed to be cleaned to read it two new pumps have been fitted and the sludge is back causing a U1 error which locks the heat pump. Has anybody seen this before any ideas?

The system has copper, plastic and steel radiators. It has inhibitor and a TF1 filter. The installers have walked away which is frustrating but being pursued as they claim they are RECC compliant I have used a second company who are recommending investigating the whole system and that some kind of reaction is happening in the system. Seems Ecodans are very sensitive to sludge as it clogs the heat exchanger quickly.
