Hello All,

I am currently in the process of adding a patio area to my garden which I would like to add a edging/border to.

I have dug the entire area down 6/7 inches but wanted to ask, am I able to just install the edging blocks (marshells 200x100) on a bed of 100mm concrete straight onto the soil and finish off with haunching or would I need to put some mot type one down first and compact it before I can install the edging blocks or will putting them on a bed of 100mm concrete and then haunching be fine? Also would you recommend a semi dry mix for laying and wet mix for haunching or just stick to a wet mix all round?

I juat don't want them to sink or come loose and rather do it properly in the first place.

Any help or wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thanks you all!
