eggshell as undercoat

hi all,can i use dulux pure brilliant white eggshell as a suitable undercoat for white gloss.i've run out of undercoat but have a nearly full tin of the eggshell in the garage,if it could turn out a bit iffy then i'll buy more undercoat bit it seems a shame to waste it.

Not really it will produce the wrong type of finish to accept gloss paints.
