Don't tell me the crooks that run this country (into the ground!) have got to that too?

It's that thing that lincsbodger highlighted on a related thread - a larger overall proportion will only have a relatively small effect in marginal seats - it's not to be read as a 1on1 scale in these seats.

Click on Poll of Polls and see the percentages. Gerrymandering no doubt?

I'd say a hung parliament is almost certain.

When the Libs have 29% of the vote they get 92 seats.

When Labour get 29% of the vote they get 285 seats.

How does that work?

Because its not one election that s being voted on. theres 651 simultaneous elections that day. The amount of votes needed to depose the sitting candidate may vary from 10 to 30,000 per constituency. The number of votes only matters in each constituency, the global total of votes is meaningless. All that matters globally is you win 326 constituencies.

We need a swing of 8 percent for a Tory majority AND to get rid of the idiot labour yes woman MP where i live, as a bonus.

They still have to take back some Lib Dem seats - but it isn't going to happen is it?
