electric ? gas ? multiburner ?

as it stands, we have economy 7 electric heaters in our house which cost a bomb.

we dont have gas to our property or on our street..

we were priced 8k for a multi-burner, for everything, stove, 7x rads, all fittings etc...

now we dont really know what is the best way to go,, economy wise? price wise? selling wise for future?

we considered oil too but didnt really want to go down this route,

would it be expensive to get gas to house ? its not remote,, prob 50m away from gas supplies.

also are multi-burners good for environment, or is it considered old and dated now days??

we want something effecient, modern and adds value to property..

I'd go with solid fuel but shop around for equipment/fitting. Dated? Couple weeks ago in snow when gas supply threatened to cease and oil jumped by 12p/ltr My local coal yard was able to prices and availability unchanged. As for wood it can be any price you want it to be.
