Yes, but tell your electrician you'd like him to split the tails and supply it via a switchfuse, not from your house CU.

Ban, am I right in thinking that the electrician would split the meter tails using a Henley Block, this would then connect to the switchfuse unit and this would then connect to the CU in the garage. Do you know any links where I can this hardware or how they fit together? What switchfuse would you have in mind?
