One of our blokes went to a recently installed gas boiler that is in a bathroom

The boiler is suitable to be installed in a bathroom providing it is in Zone 3
which it is .

How ever also installed in zone 3 , are 2 X motorised valves , a RF room stat juction box , & a central heating wiring centre.

The main iso switch & prog are out side the bath room .

None of the pipes water , gas are cross bonded

Would I be correct in saying that all pipes should be cross bonded & the equipment listed above should not be installed in the bathroom ??

Thank you for your time

There is no zone 3 now. It is just 'outside zones'

However, equipment must be 'suitable for the environment' so, I would think, you are probably correct in questioning it.

As for the 'cross bonding' beneath the boiler - this is a plumbers' favourite but is never required as such, although as it is in the bathroom it could serve as Supplementary Bonding if it is required.
Is there any Supplementary Bonding anywhere else or do the RCD omission rules apply?

In other words, if the PEB's (Protective Equipotential Bonding) to the gas and water pipes is in place and all circuits feeding equipment within the bathroom are protected by a 30mA RCD, supplementary bonding is not required.
