Electrics in the loft

Hello,

How easy would it be for me to get a light and an electric socket in the loft? Could I just run something from one of the light fittings going through the ceiling?

Or would I be best getting someone in?!

for the light, take a feed from the lighting circuit. there will already be lights on the floor to take a supply from. for sockets youll need to take a feed from a ring main. in your lucky, they could be wired from the loft, otherwise youll need to taske a spur from a socket in the room below
