Second loft light?

Hi,

I have a single loft light with a switch running from a junction box on the lighting circuit but it's quite a large loft and the light doesn't do a brilliant job.

Could I just run a cable from the existing light fitting to another one at the other end of the loft to give me two lights?

ooooh - I've got a flouresecent in the garage that I took out of the kitchen!
