Electrolux glass hob circuit board replace

Hi,

My circuit board on my Electrolux hob has hit the dirt. Or so the 'engineer' with a phase tester has told me. He has also expertly told me that it would be as dear if not more so to replace that part.

I dont really believe that and I was wondering has anyone ever replaced their own board. Its such a waste to ditch 4 good rings and the glass and everything else.

Is it even possible to buy the part?

Have you tried googling the model number & pricing the part yourself?
