ok, i have a CH/HW programmer, which is not working. Thought it might be the programmer, but having removed the front, what should be the live feed is not live.

The thing is supposed to be fused at 3A and having searched my whole house, I can't find the fuse. The main 16A fuse at the the fuse box has not fused.

My questions are... if I remove the programmer, does this short the circuit so that the feed is not live until I replace the programmer? If not, does anyone have any ideas? Are these things ever fitted without a seperate fuse to the main box, or do I need to keep searching?

Thanks for your help :?

You need to keep searching.

The good news is you don't need a new programmer.

Most domestic systems will be fused at 3a in a fused connection unit. 16A provides inadequate overcurrent protection.
