got to fit some emergency lighting in a shop premises. do i need to fit a 'secret' switch for testing or can i use a switched fused spur? the test switch will be located in the store room in rear of shop.

switched fused spur can be forgotten about, or knocked off. not good.

Do what the rest of us do and fit grid plate switch modules for conventional switching with a key operated test module, similar to the one in your picture, but a whole lot neater.
