Hi

With new lining paper, should I give it a coat of PVA before the emulsion, or just paint direct to the new paper?

Thanks

On no account use PVA just apply your emulsion, if you ever intend to apply paint never ever seal with pva.

Thanks for the quick answer, just paint it is then, but what would happen if I did use PVA?

I had the ceiling replastered and plasterer told me to PVA it before painting

Thanks for the help, saved me another evenings work :D

Dentist, at your prices you should have Laurence Llewelyn' Bowen painting the walls.

Well your plasterer should have known better, your paint wont stick to pva.
