Hi,

JUST SOME ADVICE PLEASE ON HOW TO CUT INTO A ENABLE ON ANY BOILER THE BASICS.

i WISH TO CONTROL THE BOILER ENABLE FROM ANOTHER SOURCE AND NOT USE THE TIMER.

aLSO THIS BOILER HAS A PUMP ON THE RETURN AND A VALVE ON THE FLOW

DO I LEAVE THEM CONNECTED TO THE BOILER AND JUST CUT INTO THE ENABLE OF THE BOILER.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GOOD

THANKS :?

1. No shouting (I appreciate you didnt mean to type all in caps, but you could have edited it)

2. What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Does the timer have an "advance" button to forward to the next program?

The basic thing is safety.

There is no general answer that covers all types of system.

Enable the boiler without enabling the pump and the necessary valves and you could end up with the boiler overheating. The water heats but has nowhere to go so it starts to boil.

There should be a safety device to shut the boiler off if this over heating happens but there is still a risk of damage to the boiler.

The big risk is where the boiler heats hot water in a tank, if the thermostat on the hot water tank is bypassed then the water in the tank will become extremely hot and continue to be heated and is very likely to heat the water in the cold water tank. It has been known for the plastic cold water tank to become so hot that the plastic softened, the tank burst and scolding hot water poured through the ceiling. I recall this lead to the death or serious injury of a child asleep in the bedroom. The temperature in the boiler had not reached the temperature needed to shut the boiler down before the tank collapsed

In some systems the boiler controls the pump and valves, in others the timer / programmer controls the pump and valves and switches in these control the boiler.

In most systems I would have thought that the timer / programmer / thermostat controls the valves, and switches in these control the boiler and pump.
