Engineered wood floor

Hi my Daughter has a tiled floor in her hall, through to the open plan dining room/kitchen, they are all firm and level.
She now wants to have a wood floor, is it possible to glue it to the tiles or should it be floating (don't personally like this idea as can be noisy/ springy.

Floating over ceramics. You could prime and screeding compound then glue down. Always a risk though in case the wood pulls at the screed and it sheers off the ceramics
