Hi, looking for some advice!
Painting a small lockup/garage in the next few days.

I have 20L of 2 Pack epoxy, 5L of epoxy thinners.

Floor is prepped and ready to paint, I rented a industrial floor grinder/sander, all loose bits/mastic/crap has been removed, surface is mechanically sound. Dried brushed, Jetwashed, then scrubbed with detergent and final rinse of clean water.

Reading conflicting info on the net, some reccommend thinning the first coat so it penetrates concrete deeper, while other advice says not to bother thinning as it weakens the solid content or other unknown problems.

So any advice please most appreciated, cheers, morg

I had some advice on this from a supplier, use thinner containing Xylene & toluene and no more than 10%. There is dedicated primer though that you should use - the stuff I had smelt bloody awful, charcoal mask a neccesity! (I found though that this stuff was too thick, I did not thin it and shoud have). You can also use brick acid (with goggle and gloves) to etch your concrete surface first, then clear the resultant sludge away.

Cheers Nozzle, yes the 2 pack thinner I have contains Xylene.
Ok will thin it down 10% with that then. Thanks for the help mate
