Error code on hotpoint Aquarius a-1 dishwasher

Please help I have a hotpoint Aquarius dishwasher model no.fdf784g.r. And am getting error code a-1flashing . The pump sounds like it is running when the cycle is done .and comes on as soon as I turn the machine on help !!! Thanks bill

You got water in the base. Tip it on its side see if water comes out.

What does water in the base mean?

It means you could have a internal leak. It will set the float switch off to stop flooding.

How can I find this internal leak and where might it be?

Clear the water from the base then run it empty and look for a leak. Could be heater circulation pump salt pot etc.
