Escort Van - Will not fire.

Bought a 1800 diesel non turbo P reg escort van off a mate cheap that he had been running on cooking oil - neat!

It broke down when he had it, got it towed home but it would not fire.

I have replaced the diesel pump and injector pipes, what else could be causing the problems.

Did you remember to refit the wire to the glow plugs? We've all done it.

has it got red-chip immobilisor keys for the PATS system. if so what is the red flashing immobilisor light doing. you have to code the pump to the PATS module. if it doesn't have pats, can you check the compressions, veg oil seems to burn valves on the few cars i've seen running on it.
