Euro to British adapters

Hi

I got a sink off eBay and it’s got a euro waste fitted. The outer diameter is 50mm. I’m really struggling to find an adapter to get it to a British standard 40mm waste.

Has anyone had a similar issue? Wondering if it’s easier to just buy a different waste.

Appreciate any suggestions.

One of these and a 50 to 40mm reducer would work. You'd need a bit of 50mm pipe too. Wouldn't be surprised if there's other workarounds I don't know about though

Yeah. Could look quite messy by the time it’s finished then. Wary about the length of all the adaptations. I might be better served just buying a new waste for it then? I’m hoping the euro sinks don’t have different sized wastes but will need to measure it in the morning.

Pretty sure. Used callipers to measure. But I get where you’re coming from. Most of them seem to be the 40mm European ones when you search online. I’ll double check it tomorrow.

If it's really 50mm od our 50mm solvent weld might fit straight over it
