When I go to load Excel I get a small dialogue box which simply says; stdole32.tlb and then OK in a click box.
When I click the OK box it then goes into Configuration mode before loading. This can sometimes take up to a minute, (not a long time, I know, but when you want to quickly access a spreadsheet it seems like an eternity). Is this an installation issue? I'm running Windows 10 and the Office programme I loaded it from is my wifes official CD with correct licence number.
I also have to wait for Word to configure but I don't get the stdole32.tlb message with Word, just straight in to configuration mode.
Would I be best to buy a new copy of Microsoft Office and install that instead after uninstalling the one I have?

Thanks RG. Worked a treat and now boots up instantly.
Was worried I may have to buy MS Office all over again. Cheers mate.

PS Also seems to have worked for Word as that loads up straight away as well.
One happy bunny here. :)

Well done! (y)
... although don't count your chickens! ;)
I've found Windows has a funny way of breaking itself again, just when you think you've fixed it!
