I am replacing the floorbaords in my bathroom with 18mm plywood to give a nice level surface to tile on.

My Question is: Do I need to leave expansion gaps between the boards and if so how much?

No need, but I would go one better by adding a noggins for the joint of the plywood if not on centre of joists.
