Hi, if anyone could advise i would be very grateful.

i recently had my cold water tank moved a foot or so accross my loft to make extra space. now my expansion tank keeps overflowing hot or cold water, and there is no hot water available from taps.
my central heating is fine but the over flow problem seems to be linked to the ball valve in the large cold water tank, because if i tie it up and turn off the hot water heater water stops flooiding out.
any ideas if it might be a stat in the gas honywell glowworm in the kitchen or cylinder stat or anything else.
thanks

thanks for the response,
theres no hot water available from taps kev, it is coming out the vent pipe into the expansion then out the overflow.

dont appreciate your patronizing tone kev, its really of no use to me, but perhaps it makes you feel or appear like a better plumber.
if i was a plumber i wouldnt be on this site asking for advice, so i think its a i'm not an expert.
there really are better ways of helping and giving advice to people without the rudeness.
thinkabout it for a while.
cheers & good luck
