expasion tank overflow

I have a pipe in the bathroom (1880's top floor flat) which stops over the bath. I think this is the overflow from either the water tank or expansion tank in the loft. I would like this not to stick out over the bath. Is the only solution to take this to the outside wall and put an an over flow pipe here or is there another way????

whats wrong with an warning/overflow pipe over ur bath ?? ideal if u ask me. -u'd get it repaired straight away...less water wasted...everyones happy.

yes just re-route it to outside if poss
