I hve had my fridge for a year and a half. When I first got it, it would make teriffically loud bangs so much so that i used to jump. It sounded like someone was throwing bricks at the front door. It still makes these loud bangs should I tell the supplier about it. Surely the gases have settled down by now.

Did you ask for a fridge that bangs ? don't think you did,
get it checked!!!

Hi, new here. A/C and fridges are my trade, unfortunately!

Does your fridge have a water feed? If so, it could be an aggressive solenoid valve.

Or it could be piston slap on start or stopping of the compressor. If it is this (unlikely due to the indicated loudness), the comp won't last long!

Try speaking to customer services at manufacturer, as long as it's not an LG, cos they wont answer the phone; EVER!

Is it a fridge or fridge/freezer ? i've got a hotpoint fridge freezer that makes similar noises, apparently it is to do with the frost free system, of freezing and thawing
