I had a DG door fitted last year and the fitters fitted a cat flap for me.

The cat flap is now broke and I want to replace it with a different type.

The hole in the panel is the right width but needs to be increased in height by two inches.

What is the easiest way to do this?

The panel isn't very thick but does have a thin piece of metal inside to stop people kicking it in.

Mark it out with pencil, drill 2 hole in each top corner to allow for jig-saw blade. You can buy blades for cutting upvc and thin metal. If you don't have a jig-saw then it can be done with a padsaw, harder work this way though.
